Meet Gemma,
Your Trusted Child Sleep Consultant
As a certified child sleep consultant, published author and trusted expert in the parenting world, I’ve dedicated my career to helping families overcome sleep challenges with confidence and compassion.
With a BSc (Hons) in Children’s Nursing, a Master’s in Public Health, a PGCE in Adult Education, PGDip in Professional Research and a Level 6 Child Sleep certification, my approach is deeply rooted in evidence-based strategies and real-world experience. I’ve worked with hundreds of families, helping them through everything from bedtime battles and night wakings to sleep anxiety, early rising and children who struggle to sleep alone.
My expertise has been featured in major publications such as The Sun, HuffPost, BBC Radio and The i, and I’m known for my warm, practical and tailored approach. No two children or families are the same, so I take time to understand your child’s temperament, your parenting style and what is happening at home before creating a plan that feels realistic for your family.
As a parent myself, I understand how exhausting and overwhelming sleep challenges can feel. That’s why I combine research-based strategies with empathy and practical guidance, helping you create calmer bedtimes, more settled nights and happier mornings for the whole family.
Let’s find the sleep solution that works for you.
“All with no tears in sight and with a lovely positive vibe“
I cannot recommend Gemma enough!! We went from 2-3 wake ups most nights with our 4 year old (and 5am early starts more often then not!) to a happy little boy who can go to sleep independently and stays in bed all night until 7am! All with no tears in sight and with a lovely positive vibe, and it only took a couple of weeks! Result!
Thanks so much Gemma!!

How Older Child Sleep Support Works

Step 1: Free 15-Minute Phone Consultation
We’ll start with a quick, complimentary call to chat about your child’s sleep challenges and how I can help. This is a chance to ask questions, explore your options, and find the best support package for your family.

Step 2: Choose Your Personalised Sleep Package
After our call, I’ll recommend a tailored support option based on your child’s age, sleep challenges, temperament and your parenting style. You’ll have the flexibility to choose the approach that feels right for your family.

Step 3: Sleep Support
Once you’re ready to get started, you’ll complete a detailed intake questionnaire to help me understand your child’s sleep in depth. I’ll then create a personalised plan or strategy, and together we’ll work towards calmer bedtimes, more settled nights and a child who feels more confident about sleep.
Common challenges
Does This Sound Familiar?
Older-child sleep struggles can feel incredibly lonely. People often assume that by school age, sleep should have sorted itself out. But for many families, bedtime is still stressful, nights are still broken and evenings are being swallowed up by reassurance, negotiation and worry.
With the right approach, it does not have to stay this way. I’ve helped many families through these exact challenges, and I can help you too.

“It’s worth every penny”
My child was waking multiple times in the night requesting cuddle after cuddle.
Gemma had clear and concise strategies to use which were fun and it has improved our son’s sleep drastically!
He is sleeping through the night, unlike before where we had multiple wakings nearly every night.
It’s worth every penny to not get into a vicious cycle of poor sleep and nip it in the bud sooner rather than later!
Frequently Asked Questions About My Sleep Consultant Packages
01. What age range do you support?
I support younger children, older children and teenagers, but this page is specifically for families with school-aged children, usually around 5 to 12 years old. If your child is slightly younger or older, you’re still welcome to get in touch and I can let you know whether I’m the right fit.
02. What methods do you use?
Yes. Lots of older children struggle with bedtime worries, fear of sleeping alone, fear of the dark, nightmares or needing lots of reassurance. My approach looks at both sleep habits and emotional needs, so we can help your child feel safe while also building confidence and independence.
03. Do I have to stop staying with my child straight away?
No. For many older children, suddenly removing all reassurance is too much and can make bedtime feel even harder. We’ll look at a gradual, realistic approach that helps your child feel supported while gently moving towards more independent sleep.
04. Do you offer remote consultations?
Yes. I work with clients across the world in whichever way feels most comfortable, whether that is by telephone, email or video chat.
For those closer to home in Sevenoaks, Kent, I may also be able to offer home consultations.
05. Do you use the same methods for each child?
No. Every child is different. I take into account your child’s age, temperament, worries, sleep history, family set-up, parenting style and what feels realistic for you. The aim is not to force a method onto your family, but to create a plan that works for your child.
06. How quickly will we see results?
Some families see changes very quickly, while others need a little more time, especially when anxiety, confidence or long-standing sleep habits are involved. The key is having a clear plan, staying consistent and choosing an approach that your child can actually manage.
07. Is it worth paying for a sleep consultant for an older child?
If sleep is affecting your evenings, your child’s mood, your own rest or the whole family dynamic, then personalised support can be incredibly valuable. Older children can absolutely improve their sleep with the right approach, but they often need a different strategy from babies and toddlers.
